MAJA PETRIĆ

  • Maja Petrić is an internationally exhibiting artist whose practice brings together light, environmental phenomena, computation, and emerging technologies. For more than 20 years, she has developed new forms of sculpture and installation that make fleeting and often imperceptible aspects of the natural world physically present. Her work ranges from intimate atmospheric sculptures to responsive environments and architectural-scale installations, and has received international recognition including the Lumen Prize, Digital Art Award for Innovation, and Richard Kelly Light Art Award. She is Founder and Artistic Director of Maja Petrić Studio and holds a PhD in Digital Arts and Experimental Media from the University of Washington (DXARTS) and a master’s degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP).

MIHAI JALOBEANU

  • Mihai Jalobeanu is a computer scientist and roboticist with more than 25 years of experience spanning artificial intelligence, computer vision, robotic manipulation, and interactive systems. During 11 years at Microsoft Research, he co-founded the Robot Learning Group and led research in robotic manipulation and general-purpose robot learning; today, he is Founder & CEO of Dexman.ai. A collaborator with Petrić for over a decade, he brings deep research and engineering expertise to the studio, designing and building custom computational and robotic systems that extend what is technically possible within each artwork. He holds a PhD in Computer Science, specializing in AI and Robotics.
