Four Landscapes: History of Events

A video sculpture depicting the four kinds of landscapes found in Croatia; dividing the content according to colors that prevail in the represented region.

FOUR LANDSCAPES: HISTORY OF EVENTS

Four Landscapes: History of Events is a dynamic sculpture depicting a sense of a country of Maja’s origin, Croatia. It is consisted of audio, motion graphics, lights, and projection materials that portray the blissful natural environment in four distinct regions of Croatia. Each region is represented by the colors that prevail in the sublime natural landscapes of that area. The dynamic content is made to establish the sense of blissfulness. However, it is interrupted by the depiction of daunting events that happened there such as a shipwreck on the serene Adriatic coast. The dichotomy of the experience evoked by this piece ranges from awe to terror, and it is derived from the research of the sublime.
