EYES OF THE SKIN

Eyes of the Skin, is a collaborative project between choreographer Jennifer Salk and Maja Petric. Together, in their own media, they explored the often twisted and delicate nature of tenderness. Maja created a large scale wall that cracked over the course of the dance performance. As the wall was cracking, it let the light through and in so depicted the dichotomy of tenderness that ranges between pleasure and pain.

*Title of the dance performance is inspired by Juhani Pallasmaa’s book Architecture and the Senses: The eyes of the skin.

Exhibited: Meany Theater, Seattle, WA, USA
Year: 2009
